Tribal Housing Priority. The Native Village of Nuiqsut has established a housing preference giving Native Village of Nuiqsut Tribal Citizens first priority, followed by Alaska Natives and American Indians, for applicable Tribal housing.​

• Tribal Transportation (Roads)

​The Native Village of Nuiqsut is funding and leading the Colville River Access Road improvement projects through its Tribal Transportation Program in coordination with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). The road crosses Kuukpik Corporation land and federal land administered by the Bureau of Land Management. The North Slope Borough holds the rights-of-way across those lands. The Borough’s role as right-of-way holder is separate from the Tribe’s responsibility for funding, planning, and managing these projects, which will require coordination with BIA, the Borough, landowners, and the community.
